We know how important community support is to the success of the Mishkodeh becoming a reality. Social Media like Facebook and Instagram are the front runners in how so many people get information and keep in touch with latest developments.
We are excited to reach out to the community in Bobcaygeon and Curve Lake in this way to share our vision and our excitement. Of course, we believe that this is also a great way to extend our reach beyond to the whole region. Not only that but folks from across the land are responding with enthusiasm and genuine interest in this project.
The Mishkodeh Centre for Indigenous Knowledge is a unique endeavour in that it has as a foundational underpinning a partnership of Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders and supporters. Social media provides a place for us to start conversations and to get to know one another better. But we are really eager to have a chance to connect face to face when the Miskodeh is finally launched. The interactions that we will be able to have on the land itself is where we will deepen the conversation and really make a difference.
