We have been busy working on ways to connect with the community about our proposed land-based gathering and learning space – the Mishkodeh Centre for Indigenous Knowledge. We want to engage with folks in Bobcaygeon, with the larger Kawartha region, with the Curve Lake community and with those who are interested in a path to reconciliation from anywhere across the land.
So far, we have had many many conversations with people from all walks of life. Of course, for people who have been on the Mishkodeh site itself, the land speaks for us. People can readily see how this special space calls out for people to gather and connect. It calls out to remain a green space for all to enjoy. The land is ready to be a place to share stories and learn from one another. Read what people are saying.
For those who haven’t had the chance to walk on the Mishkodeh, we hope that our new website will be a way to get to know this special place and the possibilities we envision here. Please read our story, and see our vision and values.
Learn about the history and the opportunity to expand our understanding. We hope that our website will answer any questions you may have and inspire you to join us by pledging your support.
Stay tuned for more information and exciting news as it emerges. We are excited to have you as part of the circle.
